Overview
All promotions are configured through My Extole and can easily be made to match the look and feel of your website and mobile app.
Clients that use additional placements typically see greater success from these sources:
- Global header
- Global footer
- Mobile menu
- Confirmation overlay
- QR codes
Below are a few examples of common promotion types used by our clients.
Mobile Menu
The menu in your mobile app is a high-visibility placement most typically used to promote your Refer A Friend program. By simply tapping on the "Refer a friend" or "Enjoy $20 off" CTA in your menu, advocates will instantly be taken to the share experience, where they can choose from a variety of native share channels to spread the word to their friends.
Overlay
As our most flexible promotion type, overlays can be configured to display when a customer first arrives on your site or app, when they attempt to leave, or when their order is confirmed. Being in control of when an overlay appears for your customers allows you to create an experience that targets specific behaviors.
For retailers, our top performing placement is that moment of delight right after a customer places an order. The template for this Refer A Friend promotion all set up and ready to be customized in My Extole.
Banner
A banner displayed at the top of your app or website is a tried and true promotional placement. You can configure the banner to display globally or only on specific pages. If you already have a banner set up in your website, we can simply inject the Extole promotion you've designed to cycle with your other, existing banner content.
QR Codes
Provide an alternative to email sharing with customizable QR codes. Some of your customers may not know their friends' email addresses and would prefer to share in-person using a convenient QR code. These codes can easily be placed in your mobile app so all an advocate has to do is display the code for their friends to scan.
