Overview
Choosing the right reward is key to driving engagement. To keep your program fresh and relevant, we recommend updating rewards regularly. This article covers how to replace an existing reward (of the same type) in your campaign. To add another reward on the same event instead of replacing the one that is already there, follow How to Add a New Reward.Navigate to the Event with Rewards
- Go to the Programs Page and click the Manage icon for your desired campaign, or from the Campaign Editor, select the Flow tab.
- Locate the business event that includes your current reward like Converted.
Update the Reward
- Click the existing reward to open its settings.

- In the Reward section, select the updated reward from the available options.

- Click Apply to save your changes.
- Add a Coupon Reward – create a coupon reward (fixed amount or percentage) and add it to a campaign
- Gift Card Rewards
- Coupon Rewards
- Account Credit Rewards
Update Reward Amount Variables
Changing the reward does not automatically update text that references the old reward amount. Any variables or copy that mention the value (for example “Get $10 off”) will keep showing the previous amount until you update them.- Go to the Assets tab for your campaign.
- Locate the amount variables on each creative. The label is often Reward Amount, and it may be qualified by role, such as Advocate Reward Amount, Friend Reward Amount, or Participant Reward Amount.
- Update each variable to reflect the new reward value. A creative that stores its own amount keeps the old value until you update that copy too.
- Open each creative and look for the old amount still showing. Check a field that stores the amount itself, and any sentence that writes the old amount out, including a field that is not labeled Reward Amount.
- Save your changes.
Check the Reward Emails
Confirm the new value is reflected in the messages participants receive.- Open the Reward Emails for the campaign (from the Assets section or the Flow page).
- Review the subject line, body copy, and reward messaging to make sure they show the new reward amount.
- Update any copy that writes the old amount instead of using the amount variable, and any other field on the email that still holds the old amount.
- Use the email preview to confirm the correct value displays before publishing.
