Q3 2024 Releases

New To Campaign Edit

In Q3 we rolled out a number of improvements to our Campaign Editor. In addition to many small quality-of-life updates, we introduced a few notable changes:

Filter Menu

Easily manage your view of campaign settings by using our new filters!

Show Advanced: Make all advanced settings visible or hidden and more clearly identify which settings are advanced.

Using/Not Using Default Value: See which settings are linked or unlinked from settings at the My Account or Overview level.

Translatable: View only text settings needed for translation.

Variants: See settings for multiple variants at once, with highlights for untranslated values.

Quick Start

The new Quick Start category housed within the Overview contains all of your most essential settings. When you create new campaigns, we recommend starting here!

Visualize Your Campaign Flows

For new campaigns, we have added a Flow tab where you can visualize your customer journeys and understand how all of your key events fit together. These diagrams can be zoomed in or out and include helpful information about our image asset requirements, DNS updates, Javascript tags, and file transfer protocols.

In the future, these flows will be fully interactive, allowing you to build and customize your campaign experience by adding events, rewards, emails, and more!

Ensure ADA Compliance

We are dedicated to maintaining the ADA compliance of our creative templates and have implemented numerous updates to our emails and experiences to ensure they are accessible to all types of users.

Key refinements include:

  • Clear communication of required fields and errors
  • Visual indication when a link will take you to an external page
  • General keyboard accessibility to communicate what's happening to screen readers

Easily Set Up the Friend Landing Experience

Want to offer a reward when the friend signs up? Want to enable email capture? Yes, no? No problem! We have simplified the setup of our Friend Landing Experience so you can easily customize it for your business case. This process involved removing unnecessary and confusing settings

New & Expanded Partnerships

Q2

With Extole's new integration with Q2, you can turn your online banking channel into a powerful source of new members through personalized referral and engagement programs. The integration is easy to install with support from your Q2 team, requires no custom coding, and includes the following key features: integrated CTAs, secure authentication with SSO, and fully integrated in-app sharing. We have also created a Share Experience specifically to support the integration.

Add Extole's Checkout Extension to your Order Status and Thank You Pages in Shopify

If you’re currently using our Shopify integration or are interested in setting it up, we’re pleased to announce that, as a Shopify Extension, you can now display the Order Confirmation CTA after a customer makes a purchase.

Add Multiple Stores with the BigCommerce Integration

You can now use the Extole + BigCommerce integration for multiple stores! 🥳

Re-Load Multiple Denominations onto a BHN (Blackhawk Network) Physical Card

If a program participant has already earned a physical gift card card powered by BHN for a specific Extole program, we can now automatically send additional funds to their card as they continue earning rewards.

General Platform Updates

Download Reports in JSONL

You can now download reports in JSONL format. This format is being popularized by OpenAI and is convenient in cases where you would like to ingest the data on a data analytics platform.

Better Understand Campaign Version History

We have added a column on the Campaign Versions page for Scheduling, where you can clearly see if a campaign is scheduled to change from not launched to live or from live to paused or stopped. In the case of a duplicated campaign, you can also now see the source campaign listed.

Track Source through Mobile SDKs

If you are integrated with Extole using our mobile SDKs, we now automatically track source information so you can know exactly where your mobile traffic is coming from, compare performance, and gain valuable mobile insights.

Security Enhancements

Enhanced Reward Monitoring and Protection

To ensure your rewards are reaching the right people, we have implemented richer behind-the-scenes protections against bad actors who may be trying to game your programs. For example, we’ve fine-tuned our systems to alert when unexpected reward activity occurs, like when a person earns an unusually high number or value of rewards per program or there is a significant change in the number of events attributed to bots.

Prevent Gaming with IP-based Block Lists

We've enhanced the ways we can identify and block potentially fraudulent behavior impacting your Extole programs.

We are now able to block people based on specific criteria like IP address and do things like put them in a test container, delete their events, or force all their events to be marked as low quality. These updates bolster our ability to prevent FUZZ attacks from impacting your dashboards and overall performance.
